Since 1932, the Sons of the American Legion (SAL) has supported veterans, promoted patriotism, and aided youth programs, aligning with The American Legion’s mission. At Squadron 42, we back our Post through events like June’s Music Fest and November’s Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser. Join us to serve veterans! Eligible members include males with parents or grandparents who served honorably in the military since World War I.

The American Legion appeciates the support from our community. At this point in time, the SAL is unable to accept membership applications from non-male applicants. Squadron 42 is in the process of petitioning the National SAL organization to amend the eligibility rules for the SAL, to include all children and grandchildren of veterans -- including step children, adopted children, etc. However, this process takes time to navigate its way through a national volunteer organization.

In the meantime, Post 42 has an additional, local support membership known as our Boosters, and we welcome others to support our Veterans by joining and donating to this group
